Acknowledgement and joint waiver of liability for SnoutWalker bookings.

I, the Pet Owner, understand and agree to the following when booking services through SnoutWalker:
The dog walker (or pet sitter) I am booking is an independent contractor, not an employee or agent of SnoutWalker or Bridgeshop Software Development Inc. SnoutWalker is a technology platform only. It does not provide, supervise, or guarantee any pet-care services.
SnoutWalker does not verify walker qualifications, insurance, background checks, or any badges displayed. I am solely responsible for my own due diligence before hiring.
Any GPS tracking feature is for informational purposes only. It is not a safety guarantee and may be unavailable due to signal loss or technical issues.
I understand that pet-care services involve inherent risks, including (but not limited to) injury, illness, escape, aggression, or death of my pet, damage to property, or personal injury. I voluntarily assume all such risks.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and discharge the Walker, Bridgeshop Software Development Inc. (SnoutWalker), and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including veterinary bills or legal fees) arising from or related to the dog-walking or pet-sitting services, including any act or omission by the Walker. This is a joint waiver that benefits both the Walker and SnoutWalker.
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Walker and SnoutWalker from any claims brought by third parties or related to my pet's behaviour or my provision of inaccurate information.
I authorize the Walker to seek veterinary care in an emergency if I cannot be reached. I am responsible for all costs.
All payments go directly to the Walker. SnoutWalker is not responsible for refunds, chargebacks, or disputes between me and the Walker.
Bookings cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time are subject to a cancellation fee at the walker's discretion. The walker may choose to waive or charge up to the full booking amount.
This waiver is governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Vancouver, BC.
By clicking "I Accept and Agree" or completing the booking, I confirm that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to this waiver on behalf of myself, my heirs, and assigns. This is a binding legal document.
